Artists Workspaces in Dublin 2010-2019

In 2020 I was commissioned by Dublin City Council to carry out an audit of workspaces in the Local Authority area, in response to a number of high profile studio and venue closures.

The project was a desk based analysis, in collaboration with a number of key resource stakeholders supporting artists in Dublin.  The Report identified 89 buildings which were categorised by type, and mapped by post-code.

The final report identified key issues regarding closure of venues, and locations for cultural clusters within the city.  This report led to a number of other larger and wider studies around cultural infrastructure, including the major Dublin 8 Creative Campus Project, which is currently being built in Merchant’s Quay, Dublin 8.
